Usui Lineage

For those wishing to learn Reiki, it’s important to understand there are different lineages, different strains if you will.  If you are interested in a career of service, sharing the light, I strongly recommend you do your research so you understand the nuances between the various lines.

Different lineages have different techniques, philosophies, and understandings of working with the system of Reiki. Some lineages even have different histories.

The system of healing I follow was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. Reiki supports orthodox medicine or can be used alone but is not as a replacement for traditional medication or treatments. It is not based on any belief, faith, or suggestion, yet, scientific research using quantum physics is starting to help us to understand how Reiki may work to benefit the individual.

It has been suggested that in years to come it may be known as energy medicine based on scientifically measurable energy emitted from the healer’s hands.

The Usui Lineage is a requirement for regulatory purposes and it is important that lineages are traceable back to
Dr. Mikao Usui in an unbroken link
for anyone wishing to apply for registration with a regulatory body. I would recommend being a member of a regulatory body if you plan to practice – generally you will also receive discounted Insurance if you are a Practitioner Member too.

As you can see from the 3 slides below, my lineage extends through my Master teacher, Peter Warnock from my time in England, UK, and back even beyond Dr. Mikao Usui. If you would like to view my certifications for Reiki please get in touch.
