Hi there, welcome to the Qualifications & Membership section of Gaia’s Light Spiritual Consultancy. If you are here, it’s because you are doing your due diligence before making a decision as to whether we are going to walk together on your healing or spiritual journey.\u00a0<\/p>

I am grateful you are taking this time to get to know my background and that you have already shown the discernment necessary to proceed on your path. I am a firm believer that we are all responsible for our own healing and we must have clear boundaries around who we let into our lives, whether that’s through work, friendships, healing, or on our spiritual path.\u00a0<\/p>

Trauma-informed Practitioner<\/strong><\/p>

First and foremost, I’d like you to be aware I am a Trauma-informed practitioner. You will find information about CPTSD, PTSD, and trauma-informed care on this site, but if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I believe as a practitioner, I have a duty of care to you and make a commitment to ensure ‘trauma-informed’ practices are upheld, with your safety being front and foremost at all times.\u00a0<\/p>

Please note I am not<\/em> a qualified Trauma Psychologist (top-down approach)<\/em> with a degree. I am, however, a practitioner with ‘Lived Experience’ and am committed to ongoing study with a policy of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in aspects of Trauma therapy and care. I have completed training as a Trauma-informed coach and I hold certification across a range of related disciplines such as ‘soul retrieval (disassociation therapy), narrative therapy, bibliotherapy, and grief and bereavement counselling. If you need help accessing a Trauma Psychologist in Australia please do reach out to me so I can point you in the right direction.\u00a0<\/p>

Finally, and most importantly, please ensure you continue to visit a doctor, attend medical appointments, and follow your prescribed treatment plans. Continue to take your medication and consult with your GP for all your medical needs.<\/p>

I have been a Reiki practitioner following the USUI Lineage since the late 90s. In the UK I was an accredited member of the Reiki Federation. In Australia, I am an Accredited Reiki Practitioner + Fully Insured + First Aid & CPR.<\/p>

I am, however, in the process of transitioning membership to the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) which provides Worldwide Accreditation across all my ‘recognised’ qualifications (rather than a Queensland-centric\/Reiki-specific body).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
